Over the years, the Rovers favourite moments have been while they were together touring and performing their tunes which have become "anthems of revelry and joy among generation after generation of fans".
Now after nearly 50 years on the road, it's time to say Farewell to Rovin'...
THE CRAIC WILL BE MIGHTY! This international tour will begins in the Canadian Maritimes and Newfoundland this Fall. Joining the Rovers on tour are multi-instrumentalist Morris Crum from Ireland, whistle/flute player Geoffrey Kelly, and one of Ireland's most outstanding fiddle players, Gerry O'Connor - all who regularly play on Rovers recordings or tours. If you’ve been waiting to see the Irish Rovers LIVE, wait no longer.
The last few years have seen The Irish Rovers return to television and the radio airwaves with excitement that has attracted the attention of yet another generation of fans. On this last tour through the Maritimes, concert-goers will enjoy the Irish wit and charm that has captivated audiences since 1964 as The Rovers perform a rollicking mix of their hits like Wasn't That A Party, The Unicorn, The Orange and the Green, Black Velvet Band, with the newer favourites, and signature Jigs and Reels.
In order to encourage young Celtic musicians to “keep writing, keep the music coming”, The Irish Rovers underwrite The Maui Celtic Radio Show, a platform for established and emerging Celtic artists. The host, Hamish Burgess will be accompanying the Rovers on tour, in search of new music for the radio show.
